Polkra ikat cushions are handwoven in Uzbekistan, where the technique has been practiced for more than 5,000 years. Silk threads are painted before being woven together, creating unique colourful patterns once reserved for the robes of 17th century politicians.

These prints encapsulate the artistic integrity of the ikat fabric while the curatorial process accommodates a modern aesthetic. Because the items pictured are handmade products, there can be slight variations.

Cushion covers are sewn in London.
